How it works

What actually happens after you click

Guidance included at every step, and no insurance to fight with. Here is the whole process, plainly.

Two ways to start: book a free discovery call and talk it through with our team first, or go straight to the online health intake. Either way, a licensed physician personally reviews your information and approves your protocol before anything ships.

1

Answer the health questions

If no discovery call is needed, you answer the health questions right away: a short online assessment about your history, medications, and goals. It takes about as long as making coffee.

2

A licensed physician reviews it

A U.S. physician licensed in your state reads your intake and labs personally. If Semaglutide isn't right for you, they say so and point you to what is.

3

Medication ships, care continues

Your prescription ships free from a licensed U.S. pharmacy. Your care team follows up to adjust your dose as your body responds.

Why Semaglutide works

GLP-1 is a hormone you already make. This is more of it.

After a meal, your gut releases GLP-1 to tell your brain "we're full" and your pancreas "handle this sugar." Semaglutide is a longer-lasting version of that same message.

The food noise stops

Patients describe it the same way in review after review: the constant mental chatter about food goes quiet.

Weight responds gradually

About 15% average loss over 68 weeks in the landmark trial.1 Slow on purpose: your physician titrates the dose to limit side effects.

Blood sugar steadies

GLP-1 slows digestion and helps insulin do its job, which is why many patients see metabolic markers improve too.

A physician stays involved

Not a one-time prescription. Your dose, your side effects, and your progress are reviewed by the same care team.

What to expect

An honest timeline, week by week

Semaglutide is not overnight, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Here is the realistic arc.

Weeks 1 - 4

Appetite quiets first

You start at a low dose while your body adjusts. Most patients notice smaller portions feel like enough. Mild nausea can happen here; it usually passes.

Weeks 4 - 12

The scale starts moving

Your physician raises the dose stepwise. Weight loss builds gradually, and your care team adjusts if side effects show up.

Month 3 and beyond

The compounding phase

Trial participants averaged about 15% body-weight loss by week 68.1 This is where habits, dose, and biology work together.

1 Wilding JPH, et al. "Once-Weekly Semaglutide in Adults with Overweight or Obesity" (STEP 1), New England Journal of Medicine, 2021: 14.9% average body-weight reduction at 68 weeks with semaglutide 2.4 mg plus lifestyle intervention. Trial data reflects the FDA-approved product, not compounded formulations. Individual results vary.

Every intake is read by a licensed U.S. physician before anything is prescribed. If Semaglutide isn't safe or right for you, the answer is no, and we tell you why.

The honest part

What we tell you before you start

Semaglutide is real medication, not a supplement. You deserve the full picture up front.

Common side effects

  • Nausea, especially in the first weeks or after a dose increase. Usually improves as your body adjusts.
  • Constipation, diarrhea, or bloating while digestion slows down.
  • Fatigue or reduced appetite beyond what you expected. Your care team can slow the titration.
  • Rare but serious risks exist, including pancreatitis. Full details are in the safety information below.

Who this is NOT for

  • Anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2.
  • Anyone with a history of pancreatitis.
  • Anyone pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
  • Adults under 18 or over 74, or anyone whose physician determines the risks outweigh the benefits.

Your physician screens for all of this before anything ships. That is the point of having one.

What arrives at your door

The unboxing, demystified

Plain, discreet packaging

An unmarked box. Nothing on the outside says what's inside.

Cold-packed in transit

Temperature-sensitive medication ships on ice from a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy.

Clear dosing instructions

Exactly what to take, when, and how, written for humans, not pharmacists.

A follow-up, not a goodbye

Your care team checks in after delivery and adjusts your dose as your body responds.

Physician Q&A

Good to know

Physician-guided care, up close PHYSICIAN-GUIDED CARE
Dr. Samuel B. Lee, MD
Dr. Samuel B. Lee, MD · Founder & Medical DirectorAnswered by our medical team, not a bot.
Will I feel nauseous?
Maybe, especially in the first weeks or right after a dose increase. It's the most common side effect, and it usually fades as your body adjusts. A heads up: eating smaller meals and going slower on the titration helps a lot, and your care team can adjust your dose if it doesn't settle.
Will I regain the weight if I stop?
Honestly: some patients do, which is why we treat this as a protocol, not a quick fix. Your physician works with you on dose, nutrition, and an exit plan so the habits you build have time to take root. No one can promise the weight stays off, and we won't.
Do I qualify?
Semaglutide is generally for adults with a BMI of 27 or higher (or 25+ with a related condition), ages 18-74. The prescribing physician makes the final call based on your full health picture, and they screen for the contraindications listed above.
What does it cost? Do I need insurance?
No insurance needed. Labs (a $100-$300 value) and your medication are included in your plan, and your physician reviews transparent pricing with you during your visit before you commit to anything. No hidden fees.
What if I don't want to inject anything?
There's a daily oral option. Same active GLP-1 medication, no needles. Use the toggle at the top of this page, or just tell your physician during your visit and they'll set you up with whichever fits your life.
Does my regular doctor find out?
Only if you want them to. Your care here is HIPAA-protected and nothing is shared without your consent. Many patients do loop in their primary doctor, and we're happy to coordinate if you ask.
